29-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Fatal Stabbing During Party At Huntington Station Home

An investigation is underway after a fatal stabbing death of a man at a party overnight at a Long Island residence.

It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct, 27, in Huntington Station.

Police responded to the house on Lowndes Avenue after a 911caller reported the incident at the location. 

When officers arrived, they located two men stabbed.

Justino Alfaro-Avila, age 29, of Huntington Station, was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

A 39-year-old man was treated at a local hospital and released.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
